Our family has never been "normal." We used to refer to ourselves as a traveling circus, although we didn't travel all that much. We couldn't afford it. We did travel but it was all about the kids. When the family blended we were 6 girls plus The 'Rents. 'Rents, that's the collective name the girls called us. I liked that better than The Steps.
So, we were a big, broke, messy bunch. We didn't know it then but we were really having a great time. It was busy. It was loud. In fact our neighbors actually came to watch Dinner Time just because we were so noisy and entertaining. We really proved that sociological theory that families who eat dinner together are closer. Put 8 people around a table designed for 4-6 and you will find TOGETHERNESS!
This blog is a place to reminisce, reflect and share the new fun. 'Cuz, guess what... 16 years later... we have just gotten bigger and bigger!!
